We are going ON TOUR. Well, when we say "on tour" we mean "playing some gigs that are not in London." And when we say "some" we actually mean two. But they're not in London, and one of them's not even in BRITAIN. So it's a tour, ok?
First one is at PLANO B in PORTO, Portugal on June 28th. We are told by people Who Know These Things that Plano B is THE club to play at, like Razzmatazz in Barcelona (we played there once), Debaser in Sweden (we played there too!) or erm, whatever it is this month in London.
The other one is at Hawkfest, Honiton, Devon. Hawkfest is exactly what you think it is - the legendary HAWKWIND's very own festival. We played there last year and it was lovely. You have to have a Hawkwind passport to get in so Google Hawkfest to find out how to get one.
Finally, we are doing a DJ set at Dollyrocker's Shake, Rattle and Bowl night at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes on Saturday July 5th. Expect 50s and 60s girl groups, garage, psych, rockabilly, freakbeat, Northern Soul, posh frocks and hipster haircuts. Starts at 7pm, goes on till 3am, we're on 7-11. £7 / £5 with free membership from www.shakerattleandbowl.com.
Other stuff that ToD has been doing includes:
Making new t-shirts, finally, which will be available at our gigs and through this website next week. As an added bonus these new shirts absolutely will not offend grannies or Sainsbury's till clerks. However, they may inspire feelings of intense sexual attraction to anyone wearing one. If you do not wish to be the recipient of such raging desire, you should ABSOLUTELY NOT BUY ONE OF THESE T-SHIRTS.
Recording songs for our NEW TWELVE INCH PROG OPUS. And when we say prog, we mean PROG. Two songs clocking in at a combined TWENTY-ONE MINUTES. They have been described by our mate Fitz as "Killer." He should know, his label is putting it out. You can hear one of the songs on the Myspace page at www.myspace.com/titsofdeath
Recording more songs, which will be artfully arranged on our album.
Also, Londoners may or may not know this, but Titania has been running a monthly club night at The Enterprise called Round Our Gaff. There are cool bands, and you can catch her DJing cleverly disguised as one of the three Ladies of the Manor. Check it out at www.myspace.com/roundourgaff.
It's all very exciting indeed!
