The studio engineer laughed his ass off when we told him that we were
recording the guitars through a fag packet. Until I said, "Like, no,
I'm totally serious."

Thanks to all who came down to the Macbeth last week. The place was absolutely packed, even with the well-patronized smoking garden out back, which made the bar manager very very happy indeed. They said it was the busiest they'd been in quite a while. Thanks once again to our good friends Sister, who started the evening off in style - imagine VU with quiffs and you're getting close. They looked and sounded amazing.
We've added a couple of new tracks to yon radio player - the single version of Iron Nipples, Diva Breakdown, and just for fun, a mashup of Iron Nipples / Escape From New York done by Barry Bristol. Fun times.
Next show is at the venerable 12 Bar Club in Denmark Street on July 27th at London Calling presents Bonnie and Clyde. On Saturday 28th July, Debra and Titania will share the decks once again with Dollyrocker at Turnmills, when Buttoned Down Disco take over the top room for more dancing-on-the-tables silliness. (We're headlining the BDD Liveshow at 93 Feet East in September if you want to come down for a taster). We hear The Presets are playing downstairs after our set (we're on 10.30pm-12am), so it's well worth your disposable-spendable. It's a fiver or thereabouts.

Mark E, an honourable man for many reasons, has the distinctive honour of having written the First Ever Proper Review Of Iron Nipples. As always, it's a stellar bit of writing, not merely because he's saying nice things about our little pop record (though that helps). Don't take our word for it. Check out the review and have a gander at the rest of his site, where you'll find more in-depth and useful witterings on records you generally won't hear about elsewhere. |

We've teamed up with the wonderful Hot Sauce crew to do another party, and you're invited!
Come join us on Friday July 13th when we rock the shit out of the Macbeth in Hoxton for the Iron Nipples single launch party. It's free to get in, and support comes from Sister with their Nico-era Velvet Underground stylings. Plus resdient DJs John Power, Tony Poland and ToD will be manning the decks until late.
The Macbeth is at 70 Hoxton Street, N1. Head up Hoxton St. past the Red Lion. The Macbeth is on the right.
We'll have the 7" on sale there, but if you can't make it or just can't wait that long, you can get it at titsofeath.com, Rough Trade (in the shop and online), Norman Records (ditto), Pure Groove (ditto again), or in person at JB's Records in Hanway St and Rounder Records in Brighton. |

...a phrase that we're sure you'll agree is quite fitting for your favourite ten-breasted rock machine. However, in this case, we are referring to the really quite excellent podcast hosted by Marenco Kemp. It's won kudos from a bunch of people Who Know About These Things, and who are we to argue with 9,000 monthly subscribers?
Tits of Death are featured in NYUB #47, so download it and have a listen here, or just subscribe to it in iTunes here. |
